I submitted my tax return on January 31, 2016 electronically. In over 3 months I have not received my refund.

I have been on disability and this is purely discrimination. Because I haven't been working, I didn't have to pay taxes for 2015 anway. They have my money!! I called on April 15th & was able to get through & the agent took my phone number and said "In a month you'll receive it".

I no longer can reach a representative by phone. There is no where to go. There has been no mail to explain the reason.

I have approx 2 weeks until that month is over. We will see!

Is this really the United States government?

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $3600.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

IRS Cons: No contact phone.

Location: Woodstock, Illinois

The IRS is very slow in issuing tax refunds this year. The reason for most of the delays is due to lack of help.

Two years ago Congress decided to put into place the sequestration that was implemented by President Reagan back in 1986 or 1989. Quite a lot of government jobs were cut. They are overwhelmed. I, like you, have been waiting for quite along time.

I efiled on March 13 th and was accepted on March 13th. After checking the WMR almost every single day, still nothing. Just says my refund is in process. I am going to my local office to talk to a representative face to face.

Doubt I will get a straight answer there either. We just have to wait.

Maybe a letter to one of our local senators might help. Good Luck!
