I helped my fiance to fax in two forms needed for his tax returns per request of IRS on friday the 16th. I called in today on the 21st to make sure they received the fax.

First lady was nice and notified me that she can't release information to me as I was not my fiance. I respected that as I understand it is their protocal. I got my husband on the line and we both called in together to check, the rude guy that got on the phone was so rude and didn't even allow me to explain the situation of why I was also on the line, and I notified him my husband has strict work policy of no phones allowed and has to go back to work in 5 minutes. The guy wasted 3 minutes yelling at me that I should've checked irs website for refund status and it will at least 4- 6 hours to get my fiances refund.

I proceeded to tell him that I had already check the irs website and there is no update and I already know it will take 4-6 weeks to get the refund but only if they received the document needed. Therefore the reason of us calling to make sure they had gotten the fax. He then started to tell me he can't talk to us even though I had my fiance on the line talking and willing to verify information. Once we verified information he asked about my husbands income verification from 2015, being that I do all the taxes and handle the finances I told my husband that it was around $$ grand.

The guy then yelled again at me telling me keep myself quiet and I couldn't answer the question cause he was not talking to me. I told him that I was not talking to him either and was talking to my husband. He said he was going to have to disconnect the call if I talk again. So rude and disrespectful.

I'm not even asking for a favor, I'm only asking for him to do his job. If he hates working for the IRS then he needs to quit and go work at a jail cell or something.

Anyways, why the *** are IRS workers always so rude. If only I got his Badge number, I would totally post it up on here.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

The IRS worker that responded to your post proved you correct. They are the worst of government employees.

Maybe you should let your grown *ss 'fiance' or "husband" deal with his own taxes...And no one 'yelled' at you. Next time, read the letter which clearly states to allow 6 weeks AFTER sending in the information to contact us.

You didn't wait one week. Keep a confirmation of the fax.

That is what will tell you if it was received. It is people just like you that keep phone lines clogged up and make people wait an hour for someone to answer.

Looks like you are a worker for the IRS. I guess you did not read the full text I wrote above.

The way you responded to me just proved how rude IRS workers are once again. Thank you for proving me correct. My grown *** fiance does handle his own taxes, however after we started filing together, I'm the one that took over the finances. How would you know if no one yelled at me?

Were you on the call with us as well?

It is because of workers like you that keeps the phone lines clogged up and make people wait an hour for someone to answer and still not get their questions answered. Bye felicia!
